Congratulations on choosing AdventureSIMs for your eSIM needs! Follow the steps below to install and activate your eSIM and get connected.
Step 1: Check Your Device Compatibility #
Before activating your eSIM, make sure your device supports eSIM technology.

Step 2: Find Your Activation Email #
After purchasing, you’ll receive an email from AdventureSIMs containing your activation details. This email includes:
- An activation URL – iOS users can tap this for one-click installation
- A QR code – Can be scanned on most iOS and Android devices
Keep this email handy until your eSIM is fully installed and working.
Step 3: Install the eSIM Using the Activation URL (iOS Only) #
If you’re using an iPhone, the easiest way to install your eSIM is via the one-click activation link.
- Tap the activation URL in your email
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install the eSIM
- Your iPhone will confirm once the eSIM has been added
This method is fast and requires no manual setup.
Step 4: Install the eSIM Using the QR Code (All Devices) #
If you’re using Android or prefer manual installation:
Open Mobile Network Settings #
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add Cellular Plan
- Android: Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → Add eSIM / Carrier
Scan the QR Code #
- Select Add eSIM or Scan QR Code
- Scan the QR code from your activation email
Confirm Installation #
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup. Your device will show that the eSIM has been added.
⚠️ Step 5: Enable Data Roaming (Very Important) #
Your AdventureSIMs eSIM will NOT work unless data roaming is turned ON.
This is required because AdventureSIMs use international partner networks.
iPhone #
- Go to Settings → Cellular
- Select your AdventureSIMs eSIM
- Turn Data Roaming ON
Android #
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network
- Select your AdventureSIMs eSIM
- Turn Data Roaming ON
✅ Enabling roaming does not incur extra charges on AdventureSIMs plans.
Step 6: Set the eSIM as Your Mobile Data Line #
Make sure your AdventureSIMs is selected for mobile data.
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → Select your AdventureSIMs eSIM
- Android: Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → Set AdventureSIMs eSIM as the data SIM
Step 7: Verify Your Connection #
Once installed and roaming is enabled, you should see mobile data connected within a few minutes.
If you’ve just arrived in a new country, allow up to 5 minutes for the network to connect.
Step 8: Check Your Usage & Plan Details #
You can reopen the activation link from your email at any time to:
- Check your remaining data
- View your plan expiry date
Troubleshooting Tips #
If your eSIM isn’t working:
- Restart your device
- Double-check that data roaming is ON for the AdventureSIMs eSIM
- Ensure the AdventureSIM is selected as the mobile data line
- Make sure you’re in a supported country
- Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off
